Occupational Medicine Specialist

Dr. Louis F. Puig has been a practicing physician since 1978. While practicing family emergency medicine early in his career, Dr. Puig noticed a specific need for healthcare tailored to individuals with work-related injuries and health concerns. Dr. Puig opened his own practice in 1995, establishing OMC as a single focus facility dedicated to serving the occupational medical needs of the area employers and their employees.

Dr. Puig is the driving force for OMC. His consideration for his patients and his staff radiates throughout our clinics.  The uniquely personable family of Occupational Medical CARE (OMC) consists of members with the zeal and optimism to treat patients and provide a therapeutic environment to promote recovery.

Dr. Puig continually strives to update the OMC facilities. Recent OMC upgrades include conversion to a digital x-ray system, implementation of electronic medical record process and establishing the BTE system. Dr. Puig is committed to advancing medical education for his staff as well as qualifying to precept and train medical residents from the University of Texas Southwest center for Occupational Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine. 

Dr. Puig has expanded the OMC family since the first clinic opened in 1995, with facilities in both Pasadena and Nederland, serving communities in the Texas Golden Triangle of Beaumont, Orange and Port Arthur as well as the Greater Houston Area.  Today, Dr. Puig enjoys maintaining personal, genuine relationships with his clients while providing services they can depend on and a staff they can trust.
