Pre-Placement Examinations
Pre-placement examinations are available for DOT and Non-DOT compliance to assure safe assignment in the workplace.
Our facilities implement Biological Technical Evaluation (BTE) during pre-placement exams for optimal accuracy. BTE machines measure the strength and range of motion of over 1000 muscles to test if an individual is capable of doing a specific job.
Tailored to fit the company’s needs, the pre-placement examination can include:
- Comprehensive medical history
- Screening of back and upper extremities
- Vision test
- Vital signs
- Focused medical examination based on individual’s job requirements

Drug & Alcohol Screening and Other Screening Services
Occupational Medical CARE provides SAME DAY results if testing is performed before 10am and results return negative.
Drug testing services include:
- Five or ten panel test (typically 10-panel)
- Rapid results - within 24 hours for negative results in a SAMSHA certified lab (cannot be performed for DOT)
- Instant Drug Screens can verify negative results while patient is in office
- All positive results are laboratory verified by a Medical Review Office (MRO) within 7 days
- Proven laboratory accuracy
- Federally approved
- Specimen collection, drug test and medical review of positive laboratory results, all include Certified National MROs

Our same day results allow increased worker productivity by reducing testing time, drug testing program costs, the hiring cycle and employment costs due to absenteeism from substance abuse.
All drug and alcohol screens are performed according to Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and are sent to a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA, previously called the National Institute on Drug Abuse or NIDA) certified laboratory for testing.

OMC offers our Fast Track System, which allows you to choose two screening services (physicals not included) for a faster, more convenient process.
