The OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard states that all employees required to use respiratory protection be medically cleared for respirator use by a physician. Our program is based on spirometry testing combined with the employee's medical histroy. This allows the physician to identify pre-existing or early forms of pulmonary disease that could prevent employees from safely using respirator equipment.

Quantitative and qualitative testing are conducted on the Model 8020 Portacount, the most updated version of Portacount technology, and is used in conjunction wiht individual laptop computers. Test results and hard copy documentation are left with the company upon completion of testing, and employees are issued either a walletsize card or a sticker indicating the respiratory equipment they were fitted for. Technicians are full time rewpiratory protection specialists who are thoroughly trained in respirator fit testing.

Testing: *Quantitative, Long Test (Benzene, Asbestos, Lead, Formaldehyde)
*1 respirator every 45 minutes (3 tests) per unit
*10 respirators in an 8 hour day per unit
*Maximum of 12 units
Set up fee: *$50 if less than 20 employees tested
